Internal Alchemy:
Discover the ancient path to radiant health
Unlock the secrets to enhanced health, vitality, and longevity. Rooted in 5000 years of tradition, Qigong transforms your body and mind, paving the way for radiant well-being. Learn how to clear energy blockages, the root of sickness and emotional imbalance, and invite fresh life force energy into your body. Every person is born with Qi and the ability to heal oneself by harnessing this Universal Energy.
Qi travels through every cell of the body. Our main sources of Qi are the air we breathe and the food we eat. That's why it's important to spend time outside in clean places and eat a balanced diet. Qi can also be pulled in from the sun, moon, and earth to add to our energy.
What is Qi?
Qi is energetic potential, movement, and manifestation. Everything in the universe arises from Qi, and everything contains Qi. This energy is the vital force that creates and sustains all life. When we practice Qigong, we nourish the structures and functions of the bodily systems. When Qi is conserved and used efficiently the natural result is good health. When Qi is nourished, the result is vibrant health.
Many studies have shown that Qigong:
1. Improves the body's electrical communication network, vital for every system and cell in our body, potentially warding off cancer (which involves the dysregulation of the bioelectric signals of cells) and heart attacks (which is the failure of the electrical system of the heart).
2. Soothes and regulates the autonomic nervous system, activating the parasympathetic nervous system and rest-and-digest mode, lowering blood pressure, reducing stress hormones, and improving heart rate variability.
3. Enhances the circulation of ions and electrolytes, improving cellular communication.
4. Increases alpha and theta brainwaves promoting relaxation, improved focus and mood.
5. Increases balance, coordination and communication between the left and right brain hemispheres.
6. Directs energy to depleted areas of the body, restoring vitality.
7. Stimulates mechanoreceptors in fascia, leading to pliable tissues and better neural input.
8. Improves digestion leading to better ATP production, neurotransmitter synthesis, hormone regulation, and immune signaling.
9. Increases bone density by the creation of mechanical stress, activating the piezoelectric effect.
Yin Yang - The Spiral Dance of Creation
For thousands of years, Taoist monks and doctors of Traditional Chinese Medicine have described the interdependent forces of opposing energies in our world with the Taijitu or Yin Yang symbol. Yang energies are warm, expanding and manifesting. Yin energies are cool, contracting, and absorbing. As yang energy rises, yin energy falls. As yin energy comes to a maximum, yang energy begins and vice versa. All objects, beings and systems in the natural world contain yin and yang, including our bodies and spirits (minds). A balance of these energies produces the best function of a system. In 2023 the University of Ottawa imaged an entangled pair of light photons for the first time, and, for the first time, the yin-yang image, representing the ever-rotating pairs of opposites that the universe, was created in a lab (below). Image transmitted by a photon pump apparatus (left), recreated from details in the interference patterns of entangled photons (right). (Zia et al., Nature Photonics, 2023)
“The movements combine and coordinate with the mind.
The mind combines and coordinates with the idea (imagination).
The idea combines and coordinates with the Qi.
The Qi combines and coordinates with the Spirit.
The Spirit combines and coordinates with the movements.
The movements combine and coordinate with the Universe.”
